We are recruiting for a new Beneficiary Caseworker!

Due to rising demand, SBA The Solicitors’ Charity seeks a full-time Beneficiary Caseworker.

SBA The Solicitors’ Charity was founded in 1858 and is focused on solicitors, former solicitors and their dependants who are in personal financial need, often resulting from ill-health.  In recent years, the charity has distributed over £1m annually in grants and interest-free loans to its beneficiaries.

We are seeking an additional beneficiary caseworker to assist with a rising workload.  This is a full-time post, 35 hours a week.  Some flexibility is available on start and finish times but working from home is not envisaged.

The role would particularly suit someone who will readily put aside routine work to listen to and empathise with people who make contact with SBA, often in very difficult circumstances.

This is a small office and a willingness to share in general office duties, especially when colleagues are absent, is most important.

Salary: £34,000-£38,000 depending on experience, with a generous contributory pension scheme and 6 weeks paid annual leave plus public holidays.

The team is currently six strong, consisting of both full-time and part-time employees, plus a national network of volunteer caseworkers, all of whom are solicitors.  The charity owns its own premises, beside Wandsworth Common railway station, which is served by a frequent service from Victoria (12 minutes) via Clapham Junction (3 minutes).  There is also private parking available.
