SBA was delighted to welcome Andrew Caplen to one of its meetings held at the Law Society in Chancery Lane in September 2014. Each Law Society president also becomes SBA’s own ex officio President during their year of office.

Andrew Caplen has been a long-term supporter of SBA’s work to sustain solicitors and their dependants through time of financial hardship and adversity. Among his more memorable fundraising exploits on behalf of the charity is a 90-mile cycle ride from Ostend to Brussels on a bicycle made for three!

“The SBA is very close to my heart,” advised Mr Caplen. “I will do what I can for the rest of my term in office to promote its work to a wider audience of solicitors.”
