There was a meeting held in Manchester 1857 where it was proposed that a Benevolent Association should be established. To celebrate that meeting, the SBA launched its 150th anniversary celebrations in the Midland Hotel, Manchester on the 18th October 2007.
The reception, in association with the Manchester Law Society brought together some of the top firms from the city, including Cobbetts and Pannone. The President of the Manchester Law Society, Stephen Hindmarsh said a few words as did Vice-President of the Law Society, Paul Marsh. Both gentleman highlighted the need for the SBA and that more must be done to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
It was a lovely evening and staff and Directors from the SBA who attended the event felt very welcomed by the people of Manchester.
